"IT MUST BE REMEMBERED THAT THE PURPOSE OF EDUCATION IS NOT TO FILL THE MINDS OF STUDENTS WITH FACTS....IT IS TO TEACH THEM TO THINK, IF IT IS POSSIBLE, AND ALWAYS TO THINK FOR THEMSELVES." - Robert Hutchins
This is the age of the global economy and the international village. Boundaries once defined by geography, culture and history are fast crumbling. India is no exception nor is it immune to this change. In fact it has benefited immensely and is rapidly emerging as a power on this new world stage.
The change are best represented by the explosive growth of the knowledge economy that knows no borders. This new age economy needs to be sustained by a highly educated, internationally competent and mobile workforce. Therefore education and training, today has to be aligned and geared to meet these remarkable challenges.
We, as educators have the responsibility to educate and train the men and women to complete in an inter-linked and borderless world. We have to equip them with the knowledge, understanding and other tools that drive and fuel global technological change.
