With this vision, G.D. Goenka Public School, Siliguri, proudly hosted the second edition of its signature event, Goenkan Tech Fest 2.0 (MTECHS), on the 18th and 19th of November, 2024.

MTECHS included Mathematics, Technology, Commerce, Humanities, Science and Language. There were a total of 16 events covering all areas.

This two-day extravaganza of innovation and creativity commenced with a grand inaugural ceremony on Monday. The Chief Guest, Dr. Shyamal Kumar Kanungo, Distinguished Scientist and Professor of ISRO, Bangalore graced the occasion by lighting the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing enlightenment and progress. The event also welcomed a distinguished panel of guests, including Dr. Dilip Roy Choudhury- Principal APS Bagrakote, Ms Chandrama Pradhan- Founder Principal Sri Sri Academy Siliguri, Dr. Habib Mausam- Professsor GKCIET Malda, Mr. Mohammad Azizur Rahman- Chairman Tarbiya International School Malda, Mr. Irfan Mustaqeem- Principal Tarbiya International School and Mr Biswajit Ghosh- eminent theatre personality whose presence added prestige to the occasion.

In his opening address, the Vice Principal, Mr. M. Nabi, highlighted the multifaceted nature of the fest, which brought together a rich tapestry of disciplines—technology, science, literature, mathematics, and more. This holistic approach underscored the fest's mission to inspire new ideas, foster innovation, and nurture the technical acumen of young minds.

The event served as a vibrant platform for students to showcase their ingenuity. Through an impressive array of exhibitions, they envisioned the future of a technologically advanced India, presenting cutting-edge projects that reflected their creativity and problem-solving skills. A key highlight of the fest was the enthusiastic participation of more than 750 students from 15 prestigious schools, along with senior students of G.D. Goenka Public School.

The Director-Principal, Mrs. Sonika Sharma, commended the students for their outstanding efforts, emphasizing the pivotal role of imagination and innovation in shaping a progressive and sustainable future. Her words of encouragement resonated deeply, inspiring all present to continue their journey of discovery and excellence.
