INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION 2024

The Independence Day celebration at G D Goenka Public School, Siliguri was a vibrant and joyous event, filled with patriotic fervour and enthusiasm. The entire school community, including management, students, teachers, and staff, came together to honour the nation’s 78th year of independence.

The program began with the hoisting of the national flag by respected Chairman Sir, accompanied by the national anthem sung by all in attendance. The sight of the tricolour flag fluttering in the breeze set a patriotic tone for the day.

Following the flag hoisting, a series of cultural programs were performed by students from various grades. These included patriotic songs, dances depicting the struggles and sacrifices of the freedom fighters and Sports demonstration. The performances were both educational and inspiring, reminding everyone of the importance of unity and freedom.

In addition to the cultural performances, a quiz competition on India’s history and independence was held, engaging students in a fun and educational way.
