"The love of gardening is a seed once sown that never dies" - Gertrude Jekyll
The school campus, spread around an area of about eight acres provided ample space and opportunity to explore the possibility of self-sufficiency and honing one's skill at having green fingers. This kindled an enthusiasm for the Project - "GYOF". The campaign which started on 5th September 2020 with around 120 caretakers, ignited a passion in the understanding of where your food comes from and in growing your Own Food.
There are six different allotted areas in the school where we grow different varieties of vegetables, herbal Ayurveda plants and fruits. The areas are monitored and taken care of by our caretakers who have designated area of work. This is a drive started by the School for a healthier life and create sustainability. Students and staff members are also a part of this Self- Sufficiency Campaign where they grow plants.
