As the part of the celebration for 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav ' the  institute of Environment Education and Research Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University has taken an initiative to develop a project related to localizing the Sustainable Development Goals,at the school level through spatial approach. G.D.Goenka Public School Siliguri is been selected as one of the 20  schools all over India to participate in the "Second United Nations World Geospatial Information Congress"  to be held between 10th to 15th October, Hyderabad. The theme of the congress is "Geo-Enabling the Global Village: No one should be left behind"
